• Location: Central Research Station, Baton Rouge, LA

• Job Details: Livestock management and Animal Health: Supervises day to day care of horses, goats, and sheep. (35%) Pasture, Facility, and Equipment Management: Supervises pasture rotation, forage management, and land use. Supervises maintenance of barns, fencing, buildings, and related infrastructure. Coordinates equipment rotation, maintenance and minor repairs. (25%) Personnel Management and Supervision: Directly supervises full-time staff and part-time student workers. (15%) Teaching and Extension Support: Provide animals for teaching laboratories and extension outreach events. Host visiting groups, producers, and extension programming events. (15%) Research Support: Coordinate with faculty and research scientists on project requirements, timelines, and resource needs. Maintain research quality production and inventory records. Support graduate students and other personnel conducting experiments. Performs other duties as assigned. (10%)
